I was speaking to Linda in the office earlier and she doesn’t like June. Now, if it was December or February, she is usually happier, because of the snow – when we have snow that is. Well that’s Linda, she doesn’t like hot weather.
However just the other day, she was watching a family of foxes, mum, dad and three babies playing in the garden. She said it made her appreciate God so much more. All His wonder, the beautiful creatures and the different seasons.
We often talk about our life in terms of the seasons we are in. It’s June now, and we are half way through the year. It’s a good time to take stock, stop and assess where we are and consider what’s next.
What season are you in now? Whichever it is, welcome, relish and enjoy it.
Its May and we expect it to be warmer, but after a few short weeks of sunshine, its back to the cardigans.
For us, its a time of winding down after the successful Grace Girls on the Catwalk event, but also being creative as we start to think about the Conference in September. This years conference is entitled “Doors of Opportunity” and it reminds us of what spring represents.
The light evenings of the Spring months brim with energy, possiblities and endless opportunities to try new and different things. So what’s doors of opportunities do you plan to open? xx
We are seriously looking forward to this event.
It’s great to plan and prepare: the food, the gifts, the team, the media – the whole production that goes into holding a grace girls event.
It’s even better when we think of the ladies that will walk through our doors; that we get to welcome, and treat to a lovely time.
We make new friends; the two fantastic designers Sophie Bland and Sophie Maddocks who are providing the gorgoeus clothes.
We also get to give. 50% of the ticket sales goes to a worthy cause; the rebuilding work in Haiti.
So even as we don our heels and fluff our hair, ready to step on the catwalk, we are excited because through it all we get to demonstrate the love of God to the people around us and those beyond.
We cant wait! x
January, where has it gone? For us the Grace Girls team, it has been a very busy time of meetings, planning and thinking about what we hope to achieve in 2010. We are still in the process but one thing we know, we want the events to be different, more fun, and make you feel even more special.
January is one of those months when we start things; a new diet, an excercise regime, plan to achieve better work- life balance. If you did any of these, how is it going so far? May we throw a bit of incentive your way – the first Grace Girls this year will be on Monday 19th April and it will be a Fashion Show where you will see the latest trends in Spring and Summer fashion from the catwalk. So don’t let go of all your good intentions, this is a great time to plan that new wardrobe especially in the smaller size that you have now become!
Now we must return to our planning and preparation as we discuss the rest of the year’s events. We look forward to seeing you soon x
Christmas is only a few days off. Perhaps you have exhausted yourself with thinking about the perfect gift then spent hours trawling the shops looking for it,standing in the queues; you have written the endless list of cards, planned a faultless menu for Christmas dinner and you are now ready for a holiday!
Well, we want to give you a gift. To say thank you for being a ‘grace girl’, for the pleasure of serving you when you attend our events and your lovely comments when you leave.
We are excited about the New Year and the joys it will bring. We count you as one of them.
Please keep checking for dates of Grace Girls in 2010 and download your gift here.
With love xx
